Book Fair/Book Mark Sales: Navigating the Seas of Stories (2021)

Overview:

In the crisp air of early spring, book-enthusiast students from the primary and middle school section gathered in anticipation for the upcoming Book Fair. Held in the B1 floor of the newly built ZX building in the SHSID campus, the fair transforms a bustling learning center into a haven for all literature. The halls were adorned with book-themed decorations, setting the stage for a captivating experience. Students immersed themselves in a sea of books, exploring vast array of genres, from classic literature to contemporary fiction, from thought-provoking non-fiction to captivating children's tales. The air was filled with the scent of freshly printed pages and the buzz of conversations as students of different ages eagerly discussed their latest literary findings. Moreover, the hand-made bookmarks designed by members from the DDO also served as beautiful attractions and additional appendages to the exciting book sales . The March Book Fair was a celebration of the written word, a place where imaginations were sparked, new worlds were discovered, and the love for books were shared among kindred spirits.

Reflections:

Despite the Covid lockdowns, Dynamic Donations had done a lot both online and offline. In preparation for the book fair, the DDO team had put in a lot of dedication and hard work in making bookmarks and organizing/collecting books for the sale. Simultaneously, the team has also been working on their next project: a video showing their respects to the first-responders and front-line workers in preparation. The money earned from the book sales had also been donated to helping the poor children who cannot afford proper education.
